When I was 10 years old, my dad died. I was raised without religion, so I was completely lost as to what actually happened to him. At 13, I went looking for answers. I read every religious text I could find, but as I got older, I still needed... more. So I turned to science, and that’s when I discovered quantum physics.

It was the first time I'd felt that science and spirituality weren’t at odds… they were actually saying the same thing.
 

That's what inspired my DECOHERENCE series of paintings.
 

I wanted to represent what we see in quantum physics. The fluid backgrounds: those are the waves of probabilities. The dots: they represent the moment an observer, you or me, observes the wave… collapsing it into particles. The geometric patterns: they symbolize particles forming the underlying structure of our physical reality.And finally, beautiful, translucent forms represent the reality that only truly exists, the way we observe it, because we are here to witness it.
