ARCHETYPES COLLECTION
What’s always amazed me about sacred geometry is how you can find the same symbols in dozens of ancient cultures that had no contact with each other. It feels like a universal language that we’ve somehow always known. That idea is what this series is all about.
I was especially drawn to the way the patterns build on each other. You start with the Seed of Life, and as it expands, it creates the incredibly intricate form of Metatron's Cube. The really amazing part is that if you connect the centers of the circles in Metatron's Cube, you can draw all five 2D representations of the Platonic solids-- the basic building blocks of mathematics and our physical world. It's this direct link between ancient spiritual symbols and the science we understand today that I find so fascinating.
For these paintings, my process is all about that contrast and creating structure amidst chaos. I use vibrant, alcohol inks for the background. Then, I use bold, black lines to render the geometric forms, showing the perfect, undeniable structure that arises from it all.
