I’m Amber Lynn Fernandez and I create in Brooklyn, NYC.

My paintings always start with a little chaos. I spread alcohol inks with a straw and my breath, letting them collide on their own terms. It’s unpredictable.

Once that first layer is dry, I come back in with black paint, laying down crisp, geometric patterns that cut through the noise, creating structure. It's a meditative act of finding order in the randomness. In some of my work, I'll then add a third layer of realistic oils or stylized acrylic.
 

The ideas behind my work are the big questions I can’t stop thinking about. I read a lot of about ancient history, science and the mathematical patterns in our universe, and that all finds its way into my art.

Ultimately, I want to create something you haven’t seen before. My goal is for you to get lost in the color and energy of each piece, but also to find a quiet moment to think. It’s art that’s both an experience for your eyes and a conversation for your mind.
